Matter of fact, when in High Sierra’s recovery mode, I’m able to see/select it as a boot option but it does not boot from the SSD. The drive is visible in the OS but not at the boot options. 1 Full Baths 3951 Center Kitchen 3750 Center Living 3248 Rear Bath 3030 Front Bedroom 2726 1 Slideouts 2619 Bunkhouse 2206 Center Bath 933 Dual Entry Doors 795 2 Bunk Beds 574 Rear Living 461 Front Living 308 Front / Rear Bedroom 269 2 Slideouts 208 Rear Kitchen 182 3 Slideouts 104 3 Bunk Beds 87 Front Kitchen 60 Rear Bedroom 46 1 Bunk Beds 43. Ive also tried, on the working external, I booted in recovery mode and reinstalled High Sierra on the SSD. *This seems like my issue but don’t know how to get around it. I can’t use internet recovery because it installs Mavericks (in need High Sierra or higher for the SSD to be recognized by the OS). I’ve used different clone methods to copy the OS to the new SSD. I’ve installed High Sierra on the external bootable drive and installed all updates to the latest. The HDD is connected via USB and the SSD is internal. My problem is, when I attempt to boot from the boot options (holding OPTION at boot), the drive is not available.īoth drives are formatted as OS Journaled w/ GUID partition). I bought a Mac Pro 6,1 and installed a OWC Aura Pro X2 SSD.
